Come and join the Talking Batty Education Team for one of our famous tours of Adelaides only Flying-Fox colony and watch the amazing nightly fly out with us.
About the event
We invite you to join us for one of our amazing tours of Adelaide’s only Flying-Fox colony. We are Flying-Fox rescuers, carers and educators within Fauna Rescue of SA.
Walk with us around the colony as we give you the facts, and dispel the myths surrounding these incredible and ecologically important animals.
After our educational tour, we will sit and watch the mesmerising sight that is the nightly fly out, as these animals head off for a night of pollinating and seed dispersal.
Bring your chairs, blankets and picnics and we will be available to answer any of your questions.
We meet on the bridge to the left of the zoo entrance on Plane Tree drive. We look forward to seeing you there.
Additional Details
This is a free event. We will have some merchandise available after the tour, all proceeds going to our Bat Fund for the rehabilitation of these animals.
