Die Angels Of Libra sind ein internationales Soul-Kollektiv aus Hamburg mit einer hohen Affinität zu analogen Aufnahmetechniken, 60er-Jahre-Soul-Revue-Konzepten und Filmmusik. Die Geschichte der Band beginnt in einem dänischen Ferienhaus, in dem sich die Hamburger Musiker Dennis Rux (Produzent/Gitarre), Chris Haertel (Keyboard), David Nesselhauf (Bass) und Lucas Kochbeck (Schlagzeug) zwei Wochen lang zurückgezogen und Instrumentalsongs auf einem 8-Spur-Tonbandgerät von 1980 aufgenommen haben. Mittlerweile ist die Band regelmäßig Teil des Programms auf BBC 6 famoser Craig Charles Funk & Soul Show. Am 09.11. spielen sie eine ihrer großen Soul-Shows im Molotow, bei der es neben den bekannten Songs mit Nathan Johnston, auch einiges aus ihrem neuen Album zu hören geben wird. Das Hamburger Soul Kollektiv sind „der Beweis für die Lebendigkeit des Souls und arbeiten unentwegt für ihren Traum moderner Soul-Musik.“
Dieser Abend wird besonders, plant die Band doch wieder eine große Soul-Revue mit vielen Gästen, so wie sie es bei ihrem ersten Konzert im Molotow 2022 gemacht haben.
Nach dem Konzert geht es in der Komet Musik Bar in der Erich-Straße weiter mit einer Aftershow Party mit tollen DJs und bis spät in die Nacht.

The Angels Of Libra are an international soul collective from Hamburg with a high affinity for analog recording techniques, 60s soul revue concepts and film music. The band's story began in a Danish holiday home, where Hamburg musicians Dennis Rux (producer/guitar), Chris Haertel (keyboard), David Nesselhauf (bass) and Lucas Kochbeck (drums) retreated for two weeks and recorded instrumental songs on an 8 -track tape recorder from the 1980s. The band is now a regular part of the program on BBC 6's famous Craig Charles Funk & Soul Show.
On November 9th, they'll play one of their big soul shows at the Molotow, where, in addition to songs with Nathan Johnston, you'll also be able to hear some of their new album. The Hamburg soul collective are “proof of the liveliness of soul and are constantly working towards their dream of modern soul music.”
This evening will be special, as the band is planning another big soul revue with many guests, like they did at their first concert at Molotow in 2022.
After the concert, there will be an after-show party at the Komet Musik Bar on Erich-Straße with great DJs spinning records until late into the night.
