ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Moien Giashi is a seasoned investment professional with a unique background in the biomedical industry, materials science, and research. Currently he is a Principal at GreenSky Ventures, where he leads deep tech investments. Moien brings a wealth of expertise in guiding startups that are tackling some of the most pressing challenges, particularly in clean tech and circular solutions. With over $80M in assets under management, he is deeply involved in advisory, strategy, fundraising, and product development across a wide array of sectors.

Moien's academic credentials include being a Vanier Scholar with 18 peer-reviewed research articles, cited over 1,000 times. His industry experience spans nanotechnology, 3D printing, bioprinting, microfluidics, medical devices, and oil & gas. His previous roles include serving as a Venture Partner with the ArchAngel Network of Funds-Axion Fund, a Scientific Affairs Associate at Baylis Medical (now Boston Scientific), and a Senior Venture Manager at CDL-Toronto, where he helped companies secure over $12M in investments.
