Modern life asks a lot from the body. Long hours sitting, constant stimulation, stress, travel, screens, and busy routines can leave us feeling stiff, tired, scattered, or disconnected from our physical well-being.
Angamardana is a classical yogic fitness practice designed to bring strength, vitality, and balance back into the body.
“Angamardana” means gaining mastery over the limbs and body. In practical terms, it is a complete system of movement that uses your own body weight, breath, and momentum to build strength, flexibility, coordination, and resilience – without the need for gym equipment.
Unlike a typical workout, Angamardana is not only about building muscle or burning energy. It works with the body as a whole: the muscles, spine, joints, skeletal system, circulation, nervous system, and the subtler energy system described in yoga. In modern terms, you could think of it as a complete body-conditioning practice that also supports steadiness, focus, and a greater sense of ease within yourself.
It is physically engaging, but you do not need to be athletic, flexible, or experienced in yoga to begin. The practice is taught step by step, with careful instruction and corrections, so you can learn it safely and confidently.
By the end of the workshop, you will know the full practice – approximately 25 minutes a day – and be able to continue it on your own for life.
