Join Tidewater Classical Guitar Thursday, September 19th @ 7:30 pm at the Robin Hixon Theater, Clay and Jay Barr Education Center as we open our season in Norfolk with Andy McKee, one of the most unique and influential guitarists of the 21st century. Local legend Matt Thomas will take the stage to open up the show!
With hundreds of millions of YouTube views, Andy has emerged as one of today’s most unique and influential artists. His song “Drifting” became one of the first YouTube viral videos in 2006, amassing over 60 million views to date. He has been featured on the cover of both Acoustic Guitar Magazine in the U.S. and Acoustic Magazine in the UK. McKee’s tour dates have taken him through Europe, Asia, Australia and North America, including tours with legendary acts from Dream Theater to Tommy Emmanuel. We cannot wait to kick off the 2024–25 TCG season with this legendary guitarist!
