THIS MONTH: Before David Cronenberg hit the big screen with his body horror, he got his start on Canadian TV, directing several one off episodes. He returned to TV fresh off THE FLY to helm what is considered a highlight of the short lived cult TV show FRIDAY THE 13TH: THE SERIES. Does F13:TS have anyhting to do Jason Vorhees? No, but that doesn’t stop Cronenberg from making the gooey, slimey entry in body horror TV as a disease eating people away from the inside, and how desperate and unhinged it makes them.
