Andrea Wild Presents: A Winter Solstice Celebration
Experience all the warmth, joy and pageantry of the season with our Winter Solstice Celebration. Andrea Wild & The Poinsettia Sisters bring all the old world magic to the stage with wassailing songs, English pub carols, ancient Irish carols, Cornish traditional winter songs and Welsh plygain. And more! Mummer's songs, Irish dance, and even our own Welsh Mari Lwyd. Many of the songs are performed a cappella with four part harmony. Instrumentation is perfect for the season with uilleann pipes, harp, fiddle, tin whistle, pipe and tabor.
Bios
Andrea Wild is a singer, producer and emcee from Liverpool, UK currently residing in Portland. Andrea created and manages the high energy Celtic band, The Stomptowners, the Welsh-driven Andrea Wild & The Bad Wolves. She also produces a unique monthly live music event, Global Folk Club.

Preston Wilde began learning the uilleann pipes at age 17 with the help of Dingle piper Con Durham as well as the Pub Scouts, the local Irish music collective in Chico, CA. Preston now resides in Portland, Oregon where he frequently plays at regional ceilis, Sean-nós Northwest workshops and events, local sessions, and concerts. Preston has performed with Ensamble Galilei, An Irish Christmas, Cake, Alistair Fraser, Kevin Burke and many others.
Kelsey Wilson O’Bryan grew up Northern California and has been dancing all her life. Kelsey started Irish step dance at the age of 12, going on to compete in regional, national and world competitions. Her passion for Sean-nós dance began while completing her B.A. in Theatre Arts at CSU Chico. Kelsey has studied with many top performers, including Nic Gareiss, Kieran Jordan, Kevin Doyle, Siobhán Butler, Alicia Guinn and Ben Power. Kelsey currently performs with the Stomptowners in Portland, OR.
