"YANIV," screening on Wednesday, 1/15 at 6 pm, 96 Wentworth St. - Free admission! Synopsis: A high school teacher in the Bronx attempts to fund the high school musical by winning at Yaniv, an underground card game run by the Hasidic Jewish community. The plan goes awry in this madcap comedy that unpacks Jewish identity, male friendship, and public education in one lighthearted package.
