With the situation in Ukraine getting worse by the day, the "We Stand with Ukraine" Vigil in NW Philadelphia will resume on Friday March 7 and continue weekly every Friday from 5-6pm in front of the Unitarian Society of Germantown church at 6511 Lincoln Drive.
The vigil began immediately after Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022. With the new US administration, the situation has rapidly deteriorated and Ukrainian people are in greater danger than ever.
We stand to demonstrate the support of ordinary Americans for Ukraine and our opposition to the attacks on democracy, both in Ukraine and in the US.
All are welcome to join this peaceful, family-friendly event. We have signs you can use or bring your own. Parking is available behind the church, and can be accessed from Johnson St, between Greene St and Wayne Ave (GPS address: 359 W. Johnson St).
Our engagement, our bodies and our voices are more important than ever. We look forward to seeing you!
