Edivan Guajajara Edivan Guajajara is from the Zutiwa village, located in Arariboia Indigenous Land (Maranhão, Brazil) and one of the creators of the communication network Mídia Indígena. As an activist & filmmaker, he creates photography and documentaries centering indigenous peoples’ perspectives, showcasing their struggle of land protection and defense of Mother Earth. As a designer and video editor, he uses his gift to create art pieces that give visibility to the ongoing fight of the Brazilian indigenous peoples, who have resisted for 521 years.
Chelsea Greene Chelsea Greene is a filmmaker specializing in wildlife and Indigenous guardianship documentaries. With a BA and MFA in Environmental and Wildlife Filmmaking from American University, Chelsea has worked with Nat Geo WILD, PBS, and NBC Universal. Her award-winning film, Borneo's Vanishing Tribes, highlighted the palm oil industry's impact on Borneo's rainforests. Her directorial debut, We Are Guardians, explores Indigenous perspectives on Amazon deforestation. Dedicated to storytelling that underscores the vital role of Indigenous protectors, Chelsea aims to inspire global stewardship for our planet.
Rob Grobman Rob Grobmans’s work as a filmmaker has mostly focused on the environment and the inspiring people who’ve dedicated their lives to its protection. In 2011, he graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a BA in Film and Media Studies and has collaborated with notable figures like Michael H. Shamberg since. Rob's directorial debut, Gorilla Girl (2018), won several awards, including the Impact Docs Award of Excellence. His most recent project, We Are Guardians (2023), a documentary about Indigenous forest protectors in the Brazilian Amazon, has earned accolades such as Best Documentary at Raindance and the Audience Award at the São Paulo International Film Festival.
