About this Event
Hans Op de Beeck is a Belgian multidisciplinary artist. His work consists of sculptures, installations, video work, photography, animated films, drawings, watercolors, and writing. He has been exhibiting internationally for over 20 years. Theatricality has always been at the heart of Op de Beeck’s work. His fantastical, surreal mise en scène tackles universal emotions and the fleeting nature of the human condition. His film “Vanishing Point” is a mesmerizing, meditative video that immerses viewers in a dreamlike world. Rendered in black and white, the piece unfolds as a slow, continuous journey through an abstract, ever-shifting landscape, evoking a sense of infinite space and stillness. This work embodies Op de Beeck’s signature themes of time, space, memory, and the ephemeral nature of existence. The evening will start with a pre-recorded interview with Hans discussing his work and the inspiration behind “Vanishing Point,” followed by the film screening.
