The Marsh Studio enthusiastically welcomes back aerialists from Canopy Studio (Athens, GA), alongside founders Susan Murphy and Don Carson, for two performances of "Time Flies" on Saturday, May 30th at 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM.The live performances will showcase aerial dance, trapeze, fabrics, pole, circus bar, spoken word, and ground-based dance and will explore themes of time, aging, memory, and the juxtaposition of past and future.
Set against the backdrop of coastal marshlands, "Time Flies" celebrates both the fleeting nature of performance and the enduring relationships built through decades of artistic collaboration. The production combines newly created works with beloved repertory pieces that trace the artistic lineage of generations of aerial performers that all started with Susan Murphy. She will be performing her own creation and spoken word while reflecting on the current phase of her life - aging as a dancer and performer.
