"This is Why We Don't Leave The House" Opening @ ArtSpace Hartford

We, Cherokee Cowherd and jess vaughn [a.k.a C/J], are thrilled to present the inaugural gallery show of our vibrant and growing community. Established in Hartford, we started the Artford Harts Society from our desire to create a welcoming space for artists, designers, makers, creators, tinkerers, and everything in between. Our inspiration to start this group was based on the goal of bringing together creative individuals who were passionate about creating a supportive artist community.

This exhibition serves as the first equinox of milestones achieved by all of our members since first meeting in March 2024. The reciprocity of our club is truly showcased in the work. We’re proud to feature a mix of artists that work within a variety of mediums, two-dimensional and three-dimensional. including but not limited to: puppetry.

For many of our members, this show marks their first opportunity to publicly display their work. This show is a celebration of their growth, courage, and the supportive community that has blossomed around the Artford Harts Society. We invite you to experience innovation in real-time, and gain a glimpse into the growing dynamic world of our artists.

For us, C/J, it’s been a privilege to be able to help foster growth within our fellow artists, and it’s been an incredible experience to see an idea we’ve had since 2020 become a reality. We can’t wait to see what comes next.
