"The Very Same Munchhausen"
Dear friends,
After the successful performance of the play at the end of February this year, we received a request to perform it again.
And we are happy to fulfill the audience's request.
So, the creative team "PLUS-MINUS" is pleased to invite you again to a performance of the brilliant Grigory Gorin's play "THAT VERY MUNCHAUSEN"—a philosophical and witty parable about the struggle between the individual and the system.
We will try to understand who the German nobleman Baron Karl Friedrich Hieronymus von Munchausen was, who lived in the distant 18th century. A great liar or the last romantic rebel unwilling to accept the mundane reality of everyday life?
How can an incredible optimist and great inventor, it turns out, become boring? What lengths are people willing to go to defend their right to be different, their right to dream of living a full, free life, not one dictated by society?
Get ready to laugh, feel sad, and join the protagonist in searching for answers to the most important questions that remain relevant to this day.
Directors: Margarita and Sergey Fomin.
The performance will take place on August 15th, starting at 7:00 PM.
The performance will be performed in RUSSIAN with English subtitles:
Venue: The Brian Gerrard Theatre: Birkenhead College, 140 Birkdale Road, Birkenhead, Auckland.
