Join us on Thursday, July 9, at 6 p.m. for a timely conversation with social justice entrepreneur, author, dynamic speaker, thought leader, and strategic advisor, Rey Ramsey. Drawing on more than three decades of experience across the nonprofit, public, and private sectors, he will offer attendees practical ways to navigate complex decisions with clarity, integrity, and confidence.

In his new book, "The Tyranny of False Choices: A Guide to Authentic Decision-Making," Ramsey offers methods to break free from either/or choices and manipulative forces that limit our potential, using critical thinking, moral clarity, and resilience to make authentic decisions aligned with our values.

Rey Ramsey is a social justice entrepreneur, author, dynamic speaker, thought leader, and strategic advisor with more than three decades of experience overseeing complex and diverse institutions across the non-profit, public, and private sectors. Rey has devoted his career to building and leading social enterprises and advising institutions on leadership, innovation, impact investing, strategy, culture, and team building.

Rey currently serves as Nathan Cummings Foundation's (NCF) President & CEO, an Independent Trustee, and a member of the Investment Committee, where he plays a key role in helping fulfill the Foundation’s commitment to align 100% of its endowment with its mission.

Rey also serves as the Founder and CEO of Centri Capital, an advisory firm that designs and executes impact investment strategies, with a focus on real estate development and affordable housing as a platform for human advancement. Rey is also Founder and CEO of Centri Tech, which was created to maximize technology for social innovation in communities and affordable housing.

After serving as Oregon's Director of Housing and Community Services, he held successive positions as President and COO of Enterprise Community Partners, as Chairman of Habitat for Humanity International, and as founding CEO and Chairman of One Economy Corporation, a nonprofit provider of internet services to low-income households.

Additionally, Rey served as President and CEO of TechNet, a bipartisan network of tech executives representing two million employees and $800 billion in revenues. He has served as Chairman of the NAACP Futures Commission, and now serves as a director on numerous boards, including Morgan Stanley Institute for Sustainability, MMGL Real Estate, and the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC).

Rey has created, produced, and executive-produced feature-length films and TV series, including Diary of a Single Mother and Los Americans. Most notably, Rey worked alongside Robert Townsend to create and produce the film, The Hive.

Rey is also the author of the book, "Tyranny of False Choices: A Guide to Authentic Decision-Making," which was published by Forbes Books on March 17, 2026.
