One of Verona's most unique businesses, "The Toys of Our Lives" is equal parts toy store, museum, and time machine. Since its opening in 2022, owner Paul Ivkovich has heard the phrase "I had that toy!" blurted out possibly thousands of times among his well-curated aisles and displays. A walk in his store on the corner of South Main and Verona Avenue quickly becomes a stroll through time featuring the last half century of popular culture and play.
Paul is our guest at this month's meeting. He will describe how his path to owning a store in Verona started in childhood with his father telling him to take care of his toys because they might be valuable someday. Dad was right - that "someday" is today! Paul will also show off some classic toys from across the decades and tell their stories.
