Kendrick said “It’s time for the party to die.” There’s been a call to action for the emcees and poets the people need in these turbulent social and political times. This April 26th, live at The Cabooze, in celebration of "National Poetry Month", we are bringing you: “The Response”!
A night of elite, energized lyricism to respond to the days and times. A blend of movement inspiring Spoken Word poets, DJ’s, musicians and MC’s headlined by The Bay Area’s own Locksmith!
Also performing will be: BLVCK Madonna, Lewiee Blaze, EduPoetic, OSP, St Paul Slim, poet Lenora Elaine, DJ Digie, DJ Big Reece, and more… Co-Hosted By renowned Spoken Word artists Da Black Pearll and Frank Sentwali
This is not just a concert. It’s an evening devoted to responsive art. Poetry, Hip Hop, and music to remind everyone that it’s "power to the people" and power IN the people!
