Phil Dixon, co-founder of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, will be speaking about the history of the Kansas City Monarchs. His books will also be available for purchase. After lunch, we will meet at the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum for a self-guided tour. The museum is free for kids 0-4, $6 for those 5-12, $9 for seniors 65+ and $10 for adults, and it's open until 5 on Sunday.
Parallel park in the neighborhood near our building or in the "free on Sundays" KU P2 parking garage two blocks west of our community center. Please reserve the small south parking lot for those who need the ramp to enter the building.
