St. Padre Pio Parish and The Port invites you to their fall speaker series!
Each evening kicks off at 6:30PM with a time of fellowship.
A meal will be served at 7:00PM and the talk begins at 7:20PM.
This event is open to all. Goodwill donations accepted to help cover the cost of food and presenters.

On Thu, Sept 12, Mike Aquilina will be talking about Roberto Clemente, a man whose faith permeated his life and fueled his charitable work.
On Wed, Oct 16, Br. Ross Henley, OFM Capuchin, will be sharing about a key insight to understanding the spirituality of Saint Francis of Assisi—Francis' encounter with the humble Christ.
On Thu, Nov 21, Dr. Helene Paharik will be presenting a spirituality of friendship, reflecting on the necessity of cultivating sacred friendships for growth in the spiritual life.

About the Presenters
The Great One and His God – Thursday, September 12
Mike Aquilina is the award-winning author of more than seventy books on Catholic history, doctrine, and devotion. His works have been translated into many languages. He has hosted eleven television series and several documentary films and is a frequent guest on Catholic radio.
Saint Francis & the Humble Christ – Wednesday, October 16
Br. Ross Henley is a Capuchin Franciscan friar based in Pittsburgh, PA. He is director of The Port, a Capuchin ministry that seeks to share the Gospel through Franciscan spirituality, art & beauty, and to foster vibrant young adult community. Originally from rural Ohio, Br. Ross met the Capuchins while working in Washington, DC. He joined the community in 2012, made final vows in 2018 and wrapped up studies at the Catholic University of America in 2020, after which he was assigned in Pittsburgh to establish a new evangelization ministry.
Sacred Friendships: A Key to Heaven – Thursday, November 21
Dr. Helene Paharik of Greensburg is a member of the adjunct faculty of Saint Vincent Seminary and College. A 2007 alumnus of the Seminary, she earned a master of arts degree in New Testatment Theology, magna cum laude. She is a 1987 graduate of Seton Hill University, and earned her Ph.D. in theological studies from the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, with a dissertation entitled “A Theology of Mission as Participation in Friendship.”
