"The Foundation" Braiding Class #5

Crystal Arinze, owner and head stylist of @Weavejunky, will be hosting this “The Foundation” braiding class. With her 17+ years of experience in the beauty industry, she plans on teaching other individuals interested in learning more about the foundational skills and knowledge of braiding with her unique techniques.

"The Foundation" braiding class's mission is to provide tools and techniques that will help aid and strengthen the skills and mastery of braiding from the level one currently is.

This is an individualistic group style class that consists of literature, hands on lessons and activities. Our goal is to create and provide a fun and interactive environment as well as a safe space for learning and advancement.

CLASS DETAILS

Open to:

- ages 10+

- males and females

- DMV and outisde residents

Targeting those who want to learn:

- just for fun

- the basics of braiding

- how to do their own hair

- how to do other person(s) or clients hair

- how to convert/transition into a business

- websites, pricing and business cards ,etc.

- how to gain more knowledge in a specific area of braiding or the business

... and more !

Focus of the class :

- types of hair textures

- products, tools and sanitation

- hair prep techniques(before, during and after)

- clean and precise parting techniques

- sizing/spacing techniques

- conrows and braids (may touch on other styles)

- personal and business goals

(There will be live, hands on and one-on-one demonstrations)

LAST CLASS in 2024 !!!

Tickets: $100 - Saturday, December 21st, 2024, 11am-5pm.

( 6- Hour class. $100 Must be paid to be fully registered )

Note: This class will me a mixture of beginners, intermediate and advanced students and will focus more on the basic fundamentals of braiding, how to perfect the craft at the level one is currently on and touching briefly on the monetary, clientele, business, etc. aspects of braiding for advanced students.

We also offer:

Individual Classes: Weavejunky currently offers private 1on1 sessions for all skills levels. There is a 2-hour minimum with a max of 4-hour sessions per day. Sessions are $75/hour and are scheduled based on agreed upon time/dates between stylist and student. For more information please contact Weavejunky lead stylist, Crystal, for more information.
