ACAP Cobb & Cherokee is hosting a free educational program titled "Technology to Keep Parents Safe and Engaged" on Thursday, October 16th at 6:30pm.The program will be held at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Kapperman-Williams Hall, located at 2881 Canton Road in Marietta, Georgia.
In the past decade, there have been significant advances in technology to help older adults stay safe and engaged with their families and community. Technology has become more commonplace, user-friendly, and reasonably priced, and emerging global health crises have brought a host of new understandings, applications, and opportunities, especially for the aging population. Biomedical devices, home automation, wearable devices, tablets and smartphones, and assistive technology all provide a new and ever-changing world that continues to offer opportunities and challenges relative to an older population and their support.
This program will offer participants information about the variety of current and cutting-edge technology designed to ensure the safety and engagement of older loved ones and peace of mind for their families.
