"Still, I try"  Art Exhibition Presented by Hammerspace Gallery

On the Saturday before Mother’s Day, Hammerspace Gallery presents Still, I try, a contemporary art exhibition, featuring mother artists - Samantha Conrad & Wendy Withrow. This exhibition considers what it means to care within structures that were never designed to hold us.  External pressures accumulate. Technological, political, social. The effort to protect what is vulnerable becomes continuous. And yet, something persists; care. 

Open to all ages, Still, I try invites families, caregivers, and community members to experience art as both reflection and refuge. Timed intentionally for Mother’s Day weekend, the exhibition offers a meaningful alternative to traditional gifts. This is an opportunity to slow down, gather, and share time together.

Hosted at Do Not Start’s newest warehouse expansion, the exhibition unfolds within a beautifully lit 7,000-square-foot white brick space adjacent to the organization’s artist studios and community center. 

In addition to the exhibition, guests can enjoy:

• Hands-on art activities for children and adults
• Light snacks and beverages
• A welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere
• Free parking available behind the building and along Hall Street
