VERED BINYAMINI’s lifelong relationship with art has culminated in a unique voice of connection to earth and nature. She grew up in Israel in an art loving family, surrounded by sculptures, paintings and art books, and her ceramics experience goes back to her teenage years.

Both utilitarian and sculptural, Vered hand-builds every piece, resulting in a unique texture and balance for each creation. Traditional techniques of coil building, pinching, and slab-building are complimented with her signature finish of terrasigilata (clay slip). PAT ACCORINTI “The pandemic presented challenges for everyone, including me. When we were told to stay home, I didn’t quite know what to with myself, but gradually I discovered I was being given a gift of time while keeping safe, to explore new techniques and indulge in long sessions in the studio. I began hiking for miles each day in the east foothills near my home, searching for inspiration for my art. I picked up leaves, small twigs, feathers and small rocks and brought them home. They became the inspiration for my latest work.”

Patricia Accorinti studied art at SJSU and taught jewelry design and photography at Independence High School before earning an MLS and becoming a library technology teacher. She continues to make jewelry and take jewelry-making workshops, most recently with Merry-Lee Rae and Amy Roper Lyons. Pat works in her home studio in San Jose and occasionally teaches classes in metal clay and enameling.
