Auditions for Community Children’s Theatre’s production of “Shrek the Musical,” directed by Gillian Cramer, will take place Friday, April 25th at 6 p.m. and Saturday, April 26th at 10 a.m. at CCT (8900 N. Industrial Rd) for children ages 8-18. A piano accompanist will be provided at auditions, and we will also have a speaker available for those using a karaoke track.
Please prepare a list of any conflicts you have with rehearsals to your audition. Rehearsals will be in the evenings on weeknights in May, then move to the afternoons in June and continue until performances in July.
Performances of “Shrek the Musical” will take place July 9-13, 2025 at Peoria Players Theatre. There is no fee to audition. Children who are cast will have a $100 registration fee. There is a discounted registration fee of $75 for each additional child from the same family. There are also a limited number of scholarships available for families who are in need of assistance paying the registration fee. Ask us for more details if you need financial assistance.
"Shrek the Musical" is a fun-filled, heartwarming stage adaptation of the hit DreamWorks animated film. This hilarious and exciting show follows Shrek, a grumpy but lovable ogre, as he embarks on a quest to rescue Princess Fiona—only to discover that true love and friendship come in the most unexpected forms. With a cast of quirky fairytale characters, catchy songs, and plenty of laughs, Shrek the Musical is a fantastic show for performers of all ages.
