A collaborative effort put on by local women consultants in Marketing Human Resources and Entreprenuership who want to create space for women to advance in their professional development and network with other like-minded women in business and female entrepreneurs in the MWV.


Drop in for $25 per course or attend ALL courses AND 3 month mentorship program for $150

Mondays & Wednesdays 6-7pm for the Month of March (8 courses total)

  • Autonomous Bi-weekly mentorship meetings for 3 months 
  • Monthly Networking/Potluck Meeting Series



SCHEDULE:


March 3 - Class 1 (week 1) - Resume Building Workshop

Objective: Equip participants with the tools to create or update an effective, professional resume.

Key Topics:

  • Understanding what employers look for & customizing resumes for different roles
  • Tips for making resumes stand out. Formatting and avoiding common mistakes
  • Leveraging LinkedIn and Indeed for career advancement

Activity: Hands-on review and creation or updating of resumes


March 5 - Class 2 (week 1) - Personal Branding & Promotion Workshop

Objective: Empower women to use creative outlets to develop their unique personal brand and promote it effectively.

Key Topics:

  • Identifying your personal strengths and values
  • Building a brand statement and elevator pitch / bio
  • Communicating your brand through various platforms
  • Using self-promotion to advance in your career
  • Get Creative!

Activity: Crafting an elevator pitch and self-branding statement/bio


March 10 - Class 3 (week 2) - Stand out on Social Media Workshop

Objective: Help participants learn how to use social media platforms for personal and professional growth.

Key Topics:

  • Building a professional online presence
  • Tips for networking and engaging on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook
  • Social media do’s and don’ts for professionals
  • Storytelling through social media platforms

Activity: Hands-on setting up or optimizing social media profiles; creating a strategy for social engagement


March 12 - Class 4 (week 2) - Women in Business Guest Speaker(s) Workshop

Objective: Inspire and educate women through interactive conversations with successful women entrepreneurs sharing their stories and advice.

Key Topics:

  • Overcoming challenges as a woman entrepreneur
  • Strategies for starting and scaling a business
  • Lessons learned and advice for aspiring women leaders and entrepreneurs 

Activity: Interactive storytelling, and Q&A with guest speaker(s); networking opportunities

  • GUEST SPEAKERS: TBD


March 17 - Class 5 (week 3) - Networking Skills Workshop

Objective: Introduce the basics of professional networking and help participants grow their connections.

Key Topics:

  • The importance of networking for career growth
  • How to approach new people in professional settings
  • Building a network in-person and virtually
  • Tips for maintaining professional relationships

Activity: Speed networking or guided practice in building a network


March 19 - Class 6 (week 3) - Women in Business Guest Speaker(s) Workshop

Objective: Inspire and educate women through interactive conversations with successful women entrepreneurs sharing their stories and advice.

Key Topics:

  • Overcoming challenges as a woman entrepreneur
  • Strategies for starting and scaling a business
  • Lessons learned and advice for aspiring women leaders and entrepreneurs 

Activity: Interactive storytelling, and Q&A with guest speaker(s); networking opportunities

March 24 - Class 7 (week 4) - Start of Formal Mentorship Program (April 1 - June 30)

Objective: Pair participants with mentors in their field to guide them beyond the workshops either virtually, in-person, or hybrid (depending on the needs of the mentor/mentee).

Key Topics:

  • Have a personal mentor to confide in for professional advice
  • Be a mentor who can inspire and guide other women in their field
  • Offer mutual support for one another in an informal setting
  • Schedule bi-weekly meetings (6 meetings required total) with each other virtually, in-person, or hybrid format locally to discuss your own topics or topics provided by the organizer 

Activity: Be paired and meet with your mentor/mentee in person at this class for the first time to form a plan, and be expected to maintain a professional mentoring relationship (virtually/in-person/hybrid) outside the program for at least an additional 3 months (optional and must be mutual to go beyond that timespan).


March 26 - Class 8 (week 4) - Start of MONTHLY Networking/Potluck Meeting Series

Objective: Provide a recurring monthly opportunity for networking, relationship building, and community support.

Key Topics:

  • Facilitated networking with other women in various industries
  • Informal discussions on women’s empowerment, career growth, and work-life balance
  • Opportunities for women to showcase their businesses or projects

Activity: Casual networking, potluck meal sharing, and group discussions




Additional Follow Up Features of the Program:

  • Follow-up Sessions: Offer personalized monthly check-ins or one one one follow-up workshops to keep women engaged and supported.
  • Online Community - “She Leads NOCO”: A private social media group/space where women can continue to network and share resources throughout and after this program.
  • Monthly Networking/Potluck Meeting Series: Allow an informal space monthly for empowerment, networking, relationship building, and community support through a Potluck style meeting with shared dishes, vibes, and showcasing women owned businesses, projects, and events. Allies welcome!



This structure promotes a comprehensive approach to women’s empowerment, combining practical skills with ongoing support, networking, and inspiration from the community and like minded women for a fraction of the cost that other programs offer it for.
