"Setting the Hook" Youth Fishing Tournament
Join us for a fun-filled day by the water at the Annual “Setting the Hook” Youth Fishing Tournament, proudly hosted by the Fin Addict Angler Foundation in partnership with The Greenline SA at Brooks!
This exciting event invites young anglers to showcase their skills, enjoy the outdoors, and create lasting memories with family and friends. Whether you're a beginner or experienced, this tournament is all about building patience, learning conservation, and connecting through a shared love of fishing. Make it your new annual family tradition!

⏰ Tournament Schedule
• 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM: On-site registration & check-in
• 8:30 AM – 8:45 AM: Rules & safety briefing
• 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM/12:00 PM: Fishing tournament
• 12:30 PM: Awards ceremony
👧👦 Eligibility & Participation
• Age divisions: 5–10 and 11–16
• No fishing license required for participants 16 & under
• Must bring proof of age (ID)
• Participants must be accompanied by an adult at all times
• Anglers may bring their own fishing gear
🎣 Tournament Rules
• Rod & reel only
• Artificial lures and live bait allowed (TPWD approved)
• Adults may assist but may not fish
• Each fish may only be submitted once
🏆 Scoring & Awards
Fish will be measured by length (to the nearest ¼ inch, rounded down).
Awards will be given for 1st and 2nd place in each age group for:
• Longest Bass
• Longest Catfish
• Longest Sunfish
Ties will be broken by earliest submission time.
