About this Event
gabba baya’s Level Ground residency project "RETURN" is celebrating its opening at Feminist A.I. + poieto (10th floor of the Bendix Building) on Friday, July 30 from 6-10pm.
"RETURN" uses experimental game design to preserve and decontextualize Palestinian locations, buildings, and artifacts. You can see some of the artist's work below.
It's free to attend the opening, but please RSVP for an hour window to help ensure COVID safety and social distancing. The gallery will remain open through August 8. Visit levelground.co/residency-week for more details.

About the Residency Program
Started in 2017, Level Ground’s Artist Residency has become one of our favorite annual programs, offering dedicated mentorship, training, and production resources to a cohort of emerging, underrepresented artists who each work to create a new project exploring the multiplicity of identity. This program, led by our Director of Artist Residency Leslie Foster, culminates every year in each artist’s first solo gallery show during the annual Level Ground Residency Week.
We want to give shoutouts to our residency program alumni: Leslie Foster (2017); Rae Threat, Rebekah Mei, and Ruthintruth (2018); Tristan Espinoza, Gazelle Samizay, and Evelyn Quijas Godínez (2019); as well as our newest cohort of artists: Bianca Nozaki-Nasser, Raegan Brown, and Leo Alas (2021).
