Teresa M. Amabile will be joined by her esteemed co-authors, Lotte Bailyn, Marcy Crary, Douglas T. Hall, and Kathy E. Kram, as they delve into the complex and transformative journey of retirement in their insightful new book.

Moderated by Rohit Deshpande, a Baker Foundation Professor and Sebastian S. Kresge Professor of Marketing, Emeritus at Harvard Business School.

About the Authors:

Teresa M. Amabile is the Edsel Bryant Ford Professor, Emerita, at Harvard Business School, and the coauthor of The Progress Principle: Using Small Wins to Ignite Joy, Engagement, and Creativity at Work.

Lotte Bailyn is the T Wilson (1953) Professor, Emerita, at MIT’s Sloan School of Management and the author of Breaking the Mold: Redesigning Work for Productive and Satisfying Lives.

Marcy Crary is Professor Emerita, Bentley University. Her research interests focus on diversity pedagogy, cross-identity work relationships, and transitions in the “third phase” of life.

Douglas T. Hall is the Friedman Professor of Management, Emeritus, Boston University. His research deals with careers, retirement, work-life integration, and leadership development.

Kathy E. Kram is the R.C. Shipley Professor in Management, Emerita, at Boston University. Her interests include adult development, mentoring, gender in leadership, and change processes.

The event will be hybrid, offered live in Hawes Hall 101 at Harvard Business School in addition to joining online please register and let us know if you are joining us live or virtual.
