Pianist Evan Mitchell performs “Reflections”, a recital of solo piano works by Florence Price, Johannes Brahms, Missy Mazzoli, Claude Debussy, and Franz Schubert. The concert features music that explores this theme both literally – the evening begins with Price’s “Lake Mirror” – and figuratively, with several works “reflecting” the music of another composer, both implicitly and explicitly. With selections dating from the 1820s through the 2010s, ranging from canonical masterpieces to underplayed gems, “Reflections” is sure to captivate!
