"Reclamation & Remembering" An Immersive Art Experience @ The Annex

Join us for Reclamation and Remembering, an immersive art experience that calls us to rise in love, reclaim our power, and honor the feminine wisdom within.

For centuries, patriarchal beliefs have devalued womxn, dismissed the feminine, and disconnected us from our cyclical, creative nature. Today, we are feeling the weight of those systems — from the violence and trauma endured by so many womxn to the rising rates of anxiety and depression. But this is not where our story ends.

There is an ancient power within us, rooted in the feminine mysteries once worshiped and revered. In matriarchal societies, womxn were not only equal to men, they were honored for their life-giving powers and their connection to the rhythms of nature. As the patriarchy crumbles, the rise of the feminine is unstoppable. But this revolution isn’t fought with the tools of the past. It is fought with love, creativity, and the power of expression. There is a group of warrior women rising now, reclaiming their voices, their bodies, and their power.

This special event will feature the world premiere of Riva Jean-Paul’s music video "Reclamation," co-created with the participants of her "Voice and Womb Art and Somatic Healing Immersion." You’ll also experience live performances from local artists as we weave together art, healing, and the reclamation of the feminine.

In honor of Día de los Muertos, we will create a community altar to remember and celebrate the womxn who came before us. Please bring a photo of your mother, grandmother, or other ancestors to place on the altar.
