"Reading for a Reason" Book Fair Fundraiser

The event that went viral is back for one last time in 2025, and this time, it’s for a powerful cause.

Join us for the "Reading for a Reason" Book Fair, a special three-night fundraiser for our incredible partners at NAMI Coastal Virginia!

In honor of World Mental Health Day, we're transforming our rooftop into a hub of community, connection, and literature to support vital mental health services right here in Hampton Roads.

--- EVENT SCHEDULE & HIGHLIGHTS ---

LOCATION: The Ghent Rooftop Bar, 319 W 21st Street, Norfolk

HOURS: 5 PM - 10 PM each night

THURSDAY, OCT 9th: Live Music Night Kick off the weekend with the classic Boozy Book Fair vibe, featuring live music under the stars.

FRIDAY, OCT 10th: World Mental Health Day Comedy Night For one night only, we're hosting a handful of hilarious local comedians who are generously donating their time to perform special sets throughout the evening.

SATURDAY, OCT 11th: Live Music Grand Finale We're closing out the weekend with more incredible live music and the final chance to shop from our amazing vendors.

--- HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT NAMI ---

DONATION-BASED ENTRY: Entry is a $2 ticket, with 100% of ticket sales being donated directly to NAMI Coastal Virginia. You can also donate a new or gently used book for NAMI at the door for entry.

OUR CONTRIBUTION: We will be donating a percentage of our menu sales from all three nights and will have point-of-sale round-up donations available.

RAFFLE FOR A CAUSE: We will have an amazing raffle basket with items generously donated by our vendors. All raffle proceeds will go to NAMI!

This will be the final Boozy Book Fair of 2025, so you don't want to miss it! We're already brainstorming new and unique events to keep the momentum going in 2026.
