Have you seen public art around Kansas City?
Do you notice artwork when you travel? Have you wondered how it got there?
Join us for a presentation and panel discussion about Public Art. Learn about how commissioned artwork is procured, how it's created, and why it's important.
About the Speaker:
Holly Hayden has over 20 years of experience in the art and design realm, working with local artisans to sports teams, brands, architects, developers, airports, and municipalities. Her recent public art projects include leading and liaising with 28 artists at the New Terminal and Parking at Kansas City International Airport. She is currently working on a $5million sculpture project for the Buffalo Bills New Highmark Stadium, and as an Arts Consultant for the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority's Arts in Airports program.
Holly will be joined by Phil "Sike Style" Shafer, artist and owner of Sike Style Industries, a Kansas-City based design and mural company for the panel discussion Q&A.
