Doug Wingate, a Master Gardener and an active member of the Plumeria Society of America based in Houston has lived in Hawaii twice – once while serving his country in the US Marine Corps and later as a pilot for an airline.
Learn all about growing Plumeria: their history, how to grow them, rooting cuttings, fertilization and care. See examples of the many different and beautiful varieties available, and find out where you can get great information through the Plumeria Society of America and upcoming sales.
Tropicals:
Lucinda Owen, a Montgomery County Master Gardener since 2007 with a passion for creating gardens and landscapes that works with the challenges of our local climate. Lucinda believes that gardening provides a sense of peace in challenging times.
Come hear about how to plant various Tropicals in Montgomery County. Learn what types do best in our area and whether to plant in sun or shade. Understand how best to fertilize and care for them in order to produce optimum results for your beautiful tropical garden.
