The Italian classic "Pinocchio" by Carlo Collodi is more than a story about a wooden puppet who yearns to become a real boy ~ it is a tale that deals with themes such as identity, transformation, and the importance of education. It was one of the first significant works from the newly-unified Italy! SMU's International Film Festival will present a free screening Thursday, March 6, at 5:00, of the 2019 film "Pinocchio", which adheres to the Collodi storyline ~ this is NOT a Disney-fied version! The film is in Italian with English subtitles. The Italian Club of Dallas is proud to be a co-sponsor of the Italian films screened at the Film Festival, and we look forward to seeing you at Caruth Hall 147 on the SMU campus for "Pinocchio"!
