You, other Artist and I-the Creatives - will bring a simplified exaggerated wide sleeve kimomo to life. This stable look is a loosely interpretation of the cultural/ethnic over garments or kaftan of past times.Versatile for all seasons and occasions.

Join us as we "SLAY" your very own statement piece...."Your Way" (with a few secrets you may want to remember for your next project, of course)

If you have a Sewing Machine already, bring it to class! If you don't have a machine, NO WORRIES. Sewing Machine rental is an Additional $30(very limited quantity).

The sewing class series will run every Tuesday

DAY 1 - Intro/Fabric and Supply knowledge

DAY 2 - Intro to the Serge Machine & Drafting

DAY 3: Drafting and Cutting of Kimino pieces

DAY 4: Sew & Finishing Techniques

DAY 5- An Open Sew to complete final projects

‼️IMPORTANT NOTE: It is a requirement that you have basic sewing knowledge or have taken a Beginners Class at Alexander Kellum Art Boutique previously.

Supplies Needed:

•24"inch Ruler (Straight/Curve) •Chalk

•Sewing Pins •Fabric Scissors

•Thread (2 Spools of each color, if alternating)

•Sewing Tape Measure

•Fabric (4-5 yards)☆☆This will be discussed Day 1 of class.
