The Mayor's Youth Initiative I (now known as the Florence Youth Initiative) is a clearinghouse of information and resources aimed at promoting the health, well-being, and success of the citizens of Florence, South Carolina. Honorable Mayor Teresa Myers Ervin called together a group of local service providers, community leaders, and education experts to coordinate and create services for Florence's youth.
The Florence Youth Initiative is hosting its annual Florence Youth Initiative Day. It will be located at the Community Empowerment Center (Formerly the Big T shopping center) at 1113 Oakland Ave., Flo. SC 29506. The event is on Saturday, July 11, 2026 from 10am to 2pm. Attendance is free to the public with partners, vendors, organizations and agencies in attendance.

Join us for education, workshops, games, and food as we bring resources and programs to benefit youths and their families. Honorable Mayor Teresa Myer Ervin is always working to move Florence forward. The Future Entrepreeurs Foundation is in partnership with the Florence Youth Intative.
