"Mommy and Me" Free Breastfeeding Support Group

All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings. Babies are always welcome, and I promise you will leave with a greater understanding of how to feed your baby with confidence.

Every session we will discuss common lactation issues and how to overcome them. The group will be led by Rachel Da Silva, an experienced maternity nurse, lactation consultant, and mother of two.

Register today to join other mothers in a small group setting while receiving hands-on education and guidance from a Lactation Nurse.

Here are some common topics that we will discuss in our meeting. You can also submit any requests to [email protected] and we can talk about it as a group.

• Nutrition while breastfeeding
• Going back to work
• Combination feeding
• Tongue ties and breastfeeding
• How to wake sleepy babies
• How to know that the baby is eating
• Transitioning from bottle to breast
• Increasing milk supply
• Controlling weight loss in a newborn

Is this support group really in-person?

• This group is live, in-person, and very hands on. Most parents prefer physical support to assist with positioning, latching, and other breastfeeding tips

What is your COVID policy?

• Your Lactation Nurse is fully vaccinated, and all equipment and rooms are sanitized before use. Masks are recommended for unvaccinated families. We will sit in a circle with distance between each family for social distancing.

Can I bring my baby?

• As this is a breastfeeding support group, of course you are welcome to bring your baby. You can also bring one support person. However, daddies might have to step out if another mom is nursing her baby. There is plenty of space in the church, and we even have a kitchen where they can stay if needed.
