The River Exe almost cuts the South West in two. From its source high in Exmoor, within sight of the Bristol Channel, it sweeps down through Devon until it disgorges itself in Exmouth. We take rivers for granted. They are always there, steadily flowing at our feet, while the rest of the world spins on, in a mad headlong rush. But the stories rivers hold, like the waters themselves, are often deep, dark and fluid.
Through fascinating and expert historical narrative from Professor Mark Stoyle, along with a series of original songs written and performed by myself, "Living By The River" promises to throw new light on the history of the River Exe and those who live and work along its course.
Hope to see you there! π
