Improving your Creativity-Painting Watercolor Without Drawing is the perfect event for those who want to unleash their creativity without the constraints of traditional drawing techniques. Explore these watercolor techniques: wet into wet, dry onto dry, layering and masking techniques. Various papers will be used. We will take the fear out of this medium and enjoy the creativity it allows! Class fee includes all supplies- paint, brushes and papers. Just bring yourself, and perhaps have a friend register as well!
Learn to create beautiful landscape paintings, allowing the materials to work for you. Let your imagination run wild as you experiment with color and textures on various types of paper. Artists of all levels of experience are welcome! You will leave with finished paintings, ready for framing! Come and explore the world of painting in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Kay Worz is an accomplished artist, having a B.A. from Xavier University with post graduate work in Europe, in Drawing and Painting. She initially worked in cloisonne enamel and was included in the Ohio Designer Craftsman Marketing Program and through this was chosen to create special gifts for the Ohio Governor to present to foreign dignitaries.
Kay is a Signature Member of the Cincinnati Art Club who served as its' president from 2008-2010. She currently serves on the Signature Review Committee for the Club. She is a member of the Ohio Watercolor Society, and she has served as Chair of the Duveneck Association of the Cincinnati Art Museum.
Among the many awards and recognitions that Kay has received, she mentions "Illustrator of the Year Award" in 2012, the 2013 national art competition "Art Comes Alive," and the Club's "Art for a Lifetime Achievement Award," as special memories. Her works are held in various corporate, religious, public and private locations throughout the mid-West region.
