Join us as we host a "I am SA" mural unveiling on Thursday, October 14th, 2021 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Luther's Cafe located at 1503 N Main Ave. The mural unveiling celebration is free and open to the public. In keeping with AARC’s mission to promote compassionate, non-judgmental, LGBT+ specialty care, AARC has commissioned celebrated San Antonio muralists, Nik Soupé and Shek Vega of the San Antonio Street Art Initiative, to create the “I am SA,” mural located at 1500 N Main Ave.
The vibrant "I am SA" public art display showcases the new, more inclusive LGBT+ and people of color symbols. The mural also references the 1987 ACT UP “Silence = Death” triangle representing the HIV community. All three communities are represented within the 'am.'
The unveiling celebration will feature complimentary appetizers, music, and performances in celebration of the "I am SA" mural and the community.
