"Home From Home" Story-Gathering & Festival Planning Meet Up

Are you interested in getting involved in an arts and broadcasting festival this summer in East Leeds? Would you like to learn about how to make radio, gather stories about your local community and share those stories?

We invite you to join us on Saturday 11 June.

Arrive at noon for pizza and 1pm for a meeting about the project.

Chapel FM Arts Centre is the Seacroft and East Leeds place for telling and sharing stories using radio and other arts and this summer we are embarking on a new project to explore the meaning of "Home From Home" places in our community and the wider world.

"Home From Home?" The places where people go to find a sense of belonging, meet people, learn something new, organise to change our community, be part of something bigger. ` That could be a cafe, arts centre, barber shop / hair salon, club, bus or bus stop, patch of green space, music venue, church, library, sports centre. The sky's the limit!

This summer we will begin by gathering stories and hosting the Home From Home Summer Broadcast Festival in July.

Later in the year, we'll create the Home From Home Radio Cabaret based on stories we gather and the project will continue to expand in the coming years...
