We’re excited to invite you to our upcoming Music For Food concert entitled, “Happy Shoes.” This program features one of Franz Schubert’s most beloved songs, the beautiful “Shepherd on the Rock,” for soprano, clarinet, and piano.
Next is the Folk Suite for violin and harp, written in 2008 by Taiwanese composer Chiayu Hsu. It is an evocative work that portrays scenes from the 3 main ethnic groups in Taiwan.
We will close the program with the sunny and delightful Piano Quartet by Robert Schumann. We hope you can join us for this wonderful repertoire, and to find out why our program is called, “Happy Shoes!”
Music For Food is a musician-led initiative to fight hunger in our community, and we're part of a national organization with 22 chapters across the country. Our concert is free but we'll be collecting non-perishable food and monetary donations to benefit the FSU Food for Thought Pantry.
Donations may also be made online at https://musicforfood.net/tallahassee/happyshoes
Suggested donation: $20/adult; $5 student
Non-perishable food donations welcomed
