About this Event

The classes will be interactive. Expect to be sitting in a group and keeping track of information through handouts and worksheets. We will provide homework to ensure that the concepts covered in our coure sinks in and are applied to your daily life. Each week, the concepts will build upon each other to provide a clearer picture of how one can take back control of their mental health!

Sr. Natasha Deen is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Maryland with 5 years of mental health field experience and is the owner of her practice Golden Hour Counseling. She graduated with her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology at Towson University. As a Muslim woman of Indo-Caribbean descent, she understands how it can be difficult for minorities to connect with someone who understands their worldview and practices. Deen is dedicated to helping people find tools and ways to break negative cycles and create changes that will benefit themselves and future generations. Deen’s areas of specialty include trauma, anxiety, depression, faith-based, and the use of brain spotting therapy.

Each class builds upon the previous week, so it's ideal that students attend all classes to benefit the most out of the course. If you are unable to attend all classes, the first class serves as a foundational layer for the rest of the discussions, so this one is a must if you would like to continue with our services.o

The course is taught by a licensed professional therapist but it is not therapy. The information in this course is for education purposes and is not meant to replace therapy or instructions given by a personal therapist. This course is intended to provide mental health education and to help participants learn valuable skills and tools to improve their lives.
