Children, ages 4 to 12, and their families are invited to kick off 2026's Summer Reading Program with a fun and interactive program hosted by Science Heroes! Kids will be invited to participate as they experiment with the colorful science that’s all around us — while also exploring ways they can use S.T.E.M. to make our world better. Registration is required. Children must be accompanied by a caregiver.
While at the library, be sure to check out the tables of rocks and fossils on display courtesy of the Ecotarium. You can also sign up for the Summer Reading Program in the Children's Room, go on a prehistoric scavenger hunt, and contribute to our community art project. It's sure to be a fun and dinoriffic afternoon!
Sponsored by the Friends of the JHPL.
