"Cookbook Club" Pot Luck Gathering- Summer 2025!

For Summer 2025 session, we're doing "Cheryl Day's Treasury of Southern Baking" by Cheryl Day.

About the Book/Author: Cheryl Day is a celebrated baker, New York Times bestselling cookbook author, and a James Beard Award nominee. Her bakery, Back in the Day Bakery, was a must-visit spot in Savannah, GA for for 22 years (it closed in 2024).

How the pot luck gathering works

• Buy or borrow the book (Novel offers a 10% disount to Muddy's Cookbook Club participants- check confirmation email for your code)
• Make a recipe from the book and bring it to share (pot luck style)
• I'll share a little bit of information about the book (history, context, author, etc)
• Each participant takes a turn: you'll tell us about what you made & share your thoughts on the book... and we all get to try a taste!
• You get to taste the dishes folks bring and hear others' thoughts about the book... and have lots of fun with other cookbook enthusiasts!
  

By registering for a Muddy's event, you agree to our . Please keep in mind that this is a pot luck hosted by Muddy's, but the food will have been prepared in participants' homes. These dishes should be both prepared and consumed in good faith and at your own risk.

ABOUT MUDDY'S COOKBOOK CLUB

Cookbook club exists to further create community in the kitchen! Participants share their thoughts about the cookbook AND an actual dish they made from it.

How are the cookbooks selected? Kat (owner) chooses, but feel free to nominate one. :-)

Is the book included in the ticket price? No. Participants are on their own to purchase (or borrow) the book. Novel offers a 10% disount to Muddy's Cookbook Club participants- check confirmation email for your code!

Who can participate? Anyone interested in cookbooks & community! Participants under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a participating adult; each will need their own ticket.

How many servings do I need to bring? Just make the yield of the recipe. We will do taster sizes and as everyone brings a prepared recipe, we should have PLENTY to go around plus some left over for take home plates!

Is the event wheelchair accessible? Our tables are height-adjustable, so if you need special accommodations, just let us know ahead of time and we'll be sure to have the table and your spot all ready for you!

What about cancellations? Space is limited, so all ticket sales are final. If you can't make it, you may gift your ticket to a friend. If Muddy's must cancel the event for any reason, we will inform you asap and fully refund your ticket.
