This presentation will address what authors are calling the boy crisis and the crisis of masculinity.
About the speaker: Ron attended a one-room, country grade school in Doniphan County, Kansas. There were 24 students in his high school graduation class. He graduated from Emporia State University (then Kansas State Teachers College) with a BSE, majoring in mathematics and German. He studied a year in Germany on a Fulbright Scholarship, and then taught high school for three years in Salina, Kansas. He received his PhD in counseling psychology from The University of Texas at Austin. He spent a summer at the University of Oklahoma, Norman, and a summer at the United States International University in San Diego. He worked in a residential drug rehabilitation treatment program in Lincoln, Nebraska. He spent most of his professional life working as a psychologist at Family Guidance Center for Behavioral Healthcare in St. Joseph, Missouri, doing therapy and psychological testing. Ron enjoys many things, including reading, being outdoors, gardening, ping pong, dancing, and movies.
