SPEAKERS
Joey Shea
Joey Shea joined Interface in 2018. As Manager North American Sustainability, he plays a primary customer-facing role collaborating with the market on climate action, supply chain decarbonization, ESG reporting and compliance, and sustainability in the design and construction industry. Joey’s job is to get as many people as possible to join the movement of Climate Take Back, the business plan to reverse global warming. Joey is proud to serve on the boards of Atlanta nonprofits like the Lifecycle Building Center and Abundant Housing Atlanta, a chapter of the national nonprofit YIMBY Action. He has a dog named Ginsburg, a niece named Izzy and a nephew named Alex, and a mild obsession with landscape photography.
Michelle Jacobson, MPS, ASID, NCIDQ, WELL AP, LFA, LEED AP ID+C, FITWEL, TRUE, Healthy Materials Advocate
Michelle founded ML Jacobson Design, LLC, in 1992. In addition to being Principal of her firm she is Partner of Design GLXY Group, LLC. She has over 33 years of experience in Residential and Commercial Design, working on projects nationwide. Michelle is dedicated to health, wellness, and sustainability in the built environment. Michelle is also a faculty member of The New York School of Interior Design and teaches Residential and Sustainable Design along with Color Theory. Michelle is a member of the ICC Code Interpretation Committee and the Sustainability Membership Council. In addition, Michelle is also the Chair of the Advocacy Committee and a Health, Wellness + Sustainability Committee Member. Michelle is an NCIDQ Study Coach for ASID and also works as a Reviewer for the Fitwel Platform. Recently, Michelle was named the ASID Volunteer of the Year for 2024 and was recognized as Metropolis Magazine’s Planet Positive Educator of the Year in November 2024.
Price Latimer
Price is the Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer (CCO) of Alkemis Paint. With over 25 years of experience, she has worked with a broad range of clients and collaborators on creative direction, fine art, interiors, branding, hospitality, and entrepreneurial endeavors to actualize out-of-the-ordinary projects and environments. Price has an extensive education in art and design, having studied at the Rhode Island School of Design, Parsons School of Design, and Brown University, living in France, Mexico, and New Zealand. Price is accredited by the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), and has served on multiple boards and the leadership teams of various nonprofits, including the Board of Trustees of the Santa MonicaMuseum of Art (now the Institute of ContemporaryArt, Los Angeles) and Board of Directors of the MOCAContemporaries (Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles). While attending RISD, she worked in New York City for acclaimed neo-conceptualist painter Peter Halley and his magazine, Index. After relocating to Los Angeles in 2000, she worked in blue chip art galleries, then as Manager of the cutting-edge Italian furniture company, Kartell. In 2005, she began working as a private art dealer and consultant specializing in emerging, contemporary,and post-war art for private residences, collections, and commercial spaces. As an independent curator, Price has organized group exhibitions in London, Los Angeles, and Marfa, TX. In 2010, she co-founded her last venture, Pizzanista!, growing the company to 50+ employees with restaurants in Los Angeles, Tokyo, and Seoul. After selling her interest in 2019 to re-focus on art and design, Price serendipitously met MayaCrowne at a wellness retreat in 2020 and Alkemis Paint was conceived.
Tolga Onur
Tolga is Architectural & Design Representative for Vermont Quarries & Colorado Stone Quarries. He was born in Turkey and moved to the United States at the age of 5. Throughout his 26 years, he has lived in Virginia, Florida, and ultimately landed in New York City. He’s been in the natural stone industry for over 6 years and has had the pleasure to work closely with talented architects and designers on developing natural stone specification for a wide range of projects ranging from commercial, hospitality, residential, and landscape design.
Maria Lomanto, ASID-Allied, WELL AP, Living Future Accredited, Fitwel Ambassador, Certified Healthy Materials Advocate. 2023-24 President, American Society of Interior Designers, NY Metro Chapter.
Maria Lomanto is an award-winning designer and founding principal of DesignGLXY Group, a visionary design firm dedicated to health, wellness and sustainability in the built environment.
Maria is Living Future Accredited, a WELL AP, a Fitwel Ambassador and a Healthy Materials Advocate with a certificate from Parsons Healthy Materials Lab. She co-founded the Alliance for Healthy Design and the Health, Wellness & Sustainability Committee of ASID NY Metro. She also served as Chair for the national ASID Advocate by Design Council’s Sustainability and Wellness sub-committee. Maria is the immediate Past President of ASID NY Metro and current Co-Chair of the HWS Committee.
