☀️ Green Bay Community Theater is thrilled to present the third mainstage production of our 2025-2026 season, "Beets" by Rick Padden, directed by Teresa Aportela Sergott.🌾 SYNOPSIS:
Desperate to continue producing food during the height of WWII, Fred Hunt concedes to allow German POWs from a nearby camp to work his family’s fields, despite the fact that he is furious about his own son being an injured POW overseas.
In an attempt to bring some joy back into their home, Isabelle Hunt begins to discreetly encourage their 17-year-old daughter Anna to get to know one of the young soldiers–igniting wrath from Fred that calls the true meaning of shared humanity into question and examines whether a person must be “deserving” of love and acceptance from others. (Drama, Romance, Historical)
