About this Event
Welcome to the "Be the Light" Book Club!
We wanted to create a space where we can discuss and share insights on monthly readings, in a supportive community focused on individual and collective empowerment. The Book Club's goal is to illuminate our way forward through self-reflective and creative revolution, starting with ourselves.
Our next meeting date and time is Sunday April 26th from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.
For the month of April, we will be reading and discussing by Rick Rubin.
Here's a brief overview of the April book pick: “A distillation of the wisdom Rubin has accrued over decades of bringing records to fruition...[To] creatives in need of a spur – or anyone in proximity to a client, or loved one, approaching a deadline – The Creative Act has just the right level of confident loftiness to provide succour and useful ways of recontextualising problems.” —The Guardian
Our meeting location will now be , located in downtown St.Pete., at 695 Central Ave, St. Petersburg, FL 33701. (*PLEASE NOTE: this is a location change from our initial book club meetings)
We will include time for some self-reflective writing at the end of our meeting, so please feel free to bring a journal or notebook with you (I will also bring paper and pencils for anyone, who may need it). No pressure at all to share what you write, it's for you–but if you end up wanting to share, that's also welcomed.
Also, no worries if you end up not being able to finish the book–I hope you will still join us! Your contributions are valuable, no matter how far you get in the reading. :)
Looking forward to seeing you soon at the April "Be the Light" Book Club! <3
