Paloma Cruz (she/her) is a self-taught painter whose medium is acrylic on canvas and wood. She is part of the LGBTQ2S+ community, and of Xicana Mayan, German and Italian descent. By calling from within her lineage, the medicine she carries gives her the inspiration to express through colors and textures - paintings of life and death, and living between both worlds. In her art she focuses on themes of ancestral healing, grief, sobriety and Indigenous realities mixed with a figurative and surrealistic style.
